Linux Distro for Gaming?

can anyone recommend a linux distro for gaming? also, I am using a 5770, so needs to have ATI driver support for 5xxx series cards.

I know Ubuntu has the support, but I never really liked it - my distro in the past has always been Fedora, but no drivers yet for F12.

didn't know that oxy, thanks, although I assume it has the same compatibility issues with fglrx?

looking for native games, as I have a W7 install on the same machine - I mainly play fps, but I'm poor atm, so will have a look at anything free, really.
