Hi,
Sorry for a newbie question, I have a old laptop cant remember the spec of top of my head, think it has 2 gig ram. It runs like a dog with xp on taking around 5 minutes to log on.
After reading threads on here it seams that linux gives old computers a new lease of life.
Anyway im starting a open uni course soon and would like to use this laptop for my studies, so would like it to be able to browse the net word process and other office stuff. Also i will need to run coldfusion on there with mysql will this be possible? Also would dreamwever or something similar be available?

I have read that people have been having trouble with wireless sky how difficult is this to sort out

Cheers

right if i do that though will it break all my other connections as i have 3 comps and 2 itouches linked to my wireless. so would there be a way of doing it with out changing the password and settings?

Also any ideas on how good it will be with the website database creation programs its a celeron 1.5 ghz it says it has 480mb ram but im sure thats wrong

http://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion/systemreqs/ says redhat linux?
