Linux friendly printer

I'm looking for a printer/scanner type machine that plays nice with Linux.

I previously had the Cannon MP600 worked great with windows (until it failed a few years later), but colour printing was problem in Linux.

Budget is up to £100.

Any thoughts?

I have a hp all in one wifi one.. I just powered it on and mint linux discovered it, installed it and it just worked. I can't see why HP would change that, but a lot of it will depend on the distro of linux your using.

I tend to use Ubuntu 12.04 or Mint 13.

Photo printing might be important to me, so it must print well in colour, which the MP600 didn't do at all under linux.

HP all-in-one works fine for me on Arch, "HP Officejet 6500".

Go HP, over 2000 hp printers are supported on Linux regardless of distro see http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/index.html

Oh.. when I said it just worked.. I forgot to say it worked over wifi. The printer was already setup on my network and I was VERY surprised in a good way to find out that I didn't even have to do anything.
