Hello Gents, hope your enjoying your sunny Saturday,

Some quick questions, I'm looking for a game I can run on Debian (x64 Lenny) which is new enough to push my GPU (9800GT).

Secondly can anyone advise me on how to set up a Belkin card with an artheos (sp?) chipset (I here these are the best for linux) to work on Debian?

Cheers

Well try any of the Quake engine games (Quake wars and quake 4) as they run nativly in Linux (theres some guides out on the net for what to do, its pretty easy either way). Failing that have a go at getting some windows games like half life 2 running through wine or cedega, that will tax the card abit but will be limited to how well they can emulate windows.

Urm for the wireless i cant really help, iv had numerous problems setting up wireless in linux and have only had it working when its been done automatically :(

Booo too slow *evil glair at oxy*

Thanks guys.

Wireless is *always* a nightmare on *nix but I thought it was worth a try. Are there any online distributors of games that I can buy (without messing about online with guides / instructions) that'll work out of the box with *nix?

I installed ubuntu on my mums laptop last week and it picked up wireless out of the box, its largely dependant on the chipset I believe.

Only ever used that laptop with linux so I currently have 100% success rate lol.

As games theres openTTD I think, dont know what it is or of its any good lol. Just read about it somewhere.

Heh, OpenTTD isn't going to push a modern-day graphics card... it's an open source Transport Tycoon Deluxe :D

These games won't exactly make your machine break into a sweat, but they're probably the best I've seen (or can remember off the top of my head).
