Linux install no optical or usb drive.

Hi all,

I have an old laptop I want to install Linux on. It already has windows xp on it. No option in bios to boot from usb (although it does have usb), optical drive does not work. Any ideas how I can install Linux on this system?

Do you want to dual boot?
Can you connect the laptop's HDD to another machine?

Depending on the options available in the BIOS, you could PXE boot and install that way. Give it a google.

With older systems sometimes USB / External HDD shows up under the HDD not USB option
