any ideas? was working fine in mint 9, works in win 7 64bit

now on 11 64bit it doesn't work? i haven't changed anything in bios.

i read something about EHCI, it didn't make much sense to me. The memory stick is a Corsair survivor 32gb GTR usb 2.0 so its a decent one.

kind of amusing since all my experience and many other peoples start into linux has been via the USB pen !

do you mean it won't auto-mount?

try sudo fdisk -l

then plug it in and then do it again.

see if you can spot it on there.

I had some issues with mine, where it wouldn't auto mount a USB stick as when I plugged it in, it became 'sdb' but there was an entry for 'sdb' in fstab that had been left over from installation.
