Linux Mint 5 - how do I change the "start" menu to standard gnome one?

You can do this...

  1. Right-click on the mintMenu and select 'Remove from panel'.
  2. Open Synaptic and install 'gnome-main-menu'.
  3. Right-click on the gnome-panel and select 'Add to panel.'
  4. In the dialog that appears, select 'gnome-main-menu'.
...but I'm not sure why you'd want to. ;)

think ill just ALT+F1. Im just finding this new menu abit odd at the mo, it seems all stuff is there just looks to much like windows for me :p

Yeah, I'll agree with you on that one. I've already dragged the bar to the top and added firefox & quit to the quick launch
