Linux nooby help

Right, my media pc is all built and it boots up Only problem is, I downloaded the files for linuxmce but I can't them as an image onto a cd I open up nero and click the burn image button, only there is nothing coming up even though the all the files are there. Is there something I need to do with all the files to make an iso image in the first place or am I being really special?

This is kubuntu 7.04 I'm trying to install.

EDIT:

Ignore the above, stupid winrar decided to show them as rar files not .iso. Deleted winrar and it's all sorted now.

Why use 7.04 rather than the latest version?

EDIT: Answered my own question as well. From the LinuxMCE wiki:
The CD installer can only be installed on a Kubuntu 7.04 installation that has not already been upgraded, since LinuxMCE has its own update mechanism that updates both Kubuntu and LinuxMCE in parallel.
