I need to be able to run a Linux program on my Macbook Pro. I've tried with a VM but the function keys don't really work very well that way and so I think I might be better off doing it by booting natively into Linux. I think Ubuntu will probably do the job.

So - Is this possible? Can I effectively Bootcamp into Linux? I know I'll only be using Bootcamp to create the partition but is it possible to do what I want, install Ubuntu natively on my Macbook Pro?

Well I managed to install it easily enough but I'm still getting the function key issues so it looks as though I'm going to have to blag an old laptop from work to do what I want to do. Shame :(

You're right, it's a contest logger. And yes, the window resizing is frustrating!
