ok, I have a HP iPAQ HP6340.
Now, it has 64mb of system rom and 64mb of system ram, flash chip type DiskOnChip....
now, not even going into hardware.... but I've never seen a CDROM drive to plug into these things, so how do you load linux in?

The smallest install of linux (LFS) is 256mb.....

more info needed....

Thanks

Not sure if you can do it on the new ones. Back when I did it on my ancient iPaq I used a new bootloader from Compaq's Cambridge Research Laboratories. You basically flashed the device with the new boot loader, connected to it via serial to type commands in and took it from there.

ok, so whats a power PC? is their a N.O.S. bottle or something?

:edit
ok for somereason it placed stars when I typed N.O.S. without the dots????

PowerPC is an IBM cpu used in previous apple mac computers :)

ie there are linux builds that run on apple systems instead of osx.
