No experience of it but having looked on the web it has a few components which have questionable Linux support (Broadcom wifi, ATI mobile graphics). If you're going for a linux laptop Id recommend Lenovo (known pedigree of linux hardware support) or Dell (good support due to them being so common!). If youre looking elsewhere Id recommend an Intel centrino-based laptop with Nvidia graphics if you need 3D acceleration...so pretty much the opposite of that laptop's spec
As above, broadcom wireless cards are a PIG to get working! But 10 cumulative hours of searching though guides on the Ubuntu forums got my BCM 4318 card working fine. I haven't had any problems with my onboard ATi GFX either.
I'm running Kubuntu fine on my ZV6000. Best bet would be to run a livecd and do "lspci" and "lsusb" to get a list of all you're devices and make sure that most of them are supported. Can't see you having a problem getting a system running though.
