Linux removal

Hello, can anybody advise me how I can uninstall Linux from my mates laptop without the boot disc? I have checked the MS KB but they say you need the disc and delete the partitions...if I haven't got the disc does anyone know how I can do it manually?

Is it possible to install XP Pro over the top?!?!?!

Still having problems I'm afraid - I got it to boot from the XP CD (the CD drive is external though) but nothing happens. I have tried altering the boot settings in the bios so that it boots from the internal drive but it comes up saying booting from CD and all I have is the flashing cursor and a black screen!!!

Anyone jhave any more ideas?!?!?
