Linux server

Hello chaps

I have an old PC and would like to dual boot it with Win 98 and use the Linux half as a game server for a couple of old games available in Linux versions.

Easy or difficult?

I have a very basic knowledge of Ubuntu.

create a disk with 2 partitions
install win98 first..
install ubuntu

no special config needed - dead easy

I've taken the plunge and gone for a full on Ubuntu 8.04LTS install, farewell to 98SE.

Dead chuffed so far, Linux has certainly come a long way over the years.

Excellent. Before you know it you'll be using it on your main desktop. (If you don't play games.)

i am running ubuntu server 8.10 and its just easy to pick up. I have got stuck a few times but a quick google found the solution.
