The SMP client on my Linux box is getting stuck on 'Entering M.D.' The system monitor is showing no CPU activity. I've tried '.folding stop' and './folding start'. Any ideas?

You could try deleting the core. Although I am not sure what this will do to the WU - so probably only try this if the WU hasn't already part way through.

If that doesn't work you can try nuking the whole work folder.

Tried nuking the core, the work directory and the whole installation and re-running finstall. Still hangs on Entering M.D.

The only I've do to the PC is install Windows Networking and the most recent updates. Could this be the cause? All the other programs seem to be fine. Should I try taking the E6600 back to stock (currently at 2.99GHz)?

Sorted. It was a problem with my /etc/hosts file. Last time I play with network settings on Linux. :o
