I'll start by saying Pinta, available to download from the App Center. Its like Paint for Windows, free basic image editing software which allows you to edit screenshots for example when posting them to the forum.

Cockpit is a web-based graphical interface designed for managing Linux machines, making it easier for users to perform administrative tasks without needing to rely solely on command-line tools. It allows for monitoring system performance, managing storage, configuring networks, and handling virtual machines, all from a user-friendly dashboard

I'm interested in using my 24/7 media server (running Mint) as an alternative for Google Drive. Is that what FUSE offers?
Don't know, all I know is that rclone allows you to mount cloud storage as a drive eg Onedrive, Google drive plus loads of others. It uses the FUSE system to browse through files and folders on said drives.

Timeshift! should be on everyone's computer, works as a system restore application so you can undo any mistakes really easily by going back in time to a known good state.

After your post about Timeshift in the random thread I looked into it in more detail and found that Bauh can do an RSync backup every time you update. Useful!
