Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone over here can help me with a small problem I'm encountering with my Linux media centre (knoppmyth): it won't log onto my wireless router on reboot. I can do it manually once it has booted, but it doesn't do it automagically like it should.

My /etc/interfaces/networking file looks ok to me and to others I've posted it to before. During the boot sequence it tries to bring up a wireless connection, it searches for a dhcp connection but fails and sleeps.

I'm using madwifi drivers. My wirelesscard is a netgear w311t.

Anyone with any ideas?

Thanks in advance
Chris

err i think you have to put the command you use to start the wirelessly manually in the /etc/rc.local

I THINK, im new to linux so it might be wrong!!

Hi guys, sorry I haven't replied before... this last week has been mega busy. And my linux box is unavailable for the moment... the decorators are in. I[ll get back to you in a couple of days.
Thanks for the input so far...
