Is it just me or is this incredibly slow? I hooked up my Mac and a Win 7 PC the other day, got the share working over SMB but was getting about 17kbps transfer speeds! The machines are connected via gigabit switch...
Is there something I'm doing wrong? Alternatively is there any third party software that I can install on both machines to get faster speeds?
I've read that it is a licensing problem or something, I won't pretend to understand but from what I read Apple were throwing their weight around expecting Microsoft to conform. Don't ever remember this being a problem in Snow Leopard, and I wonder if it will be sorted in ML.
