Lip Sync issues with Sky Q and LG C7 TV

Hi all. I know there are a couple of lip sync threads with Sky Q but I wanted to be a little bit more specific to my setup.

I have a LG OLED55C7 with the HDMI from SkyQ 2TB box which connects into the TV (HDMI 1), then ARC (HDMI 2) back to Sony STR-DN850 AMP. My amp supports 4k passthrough but is only HDMI 1.4 so it is not HDCP 2.2 compatible.

No matter how much tweaking I try with the Milliseconds on the Sky Q box or the TV I just can't get the audio sync to be right. If I watch something on Netflix or Amazon video of the TV it is fine. If I turn off the audio from my amp and have the audio come out from my TV speakers the lip sync seems to be fine. So I guess it is something to do with the ARC channel giving it a delay.

Can anyone advise a work around to get around this without buying a new amp?

Thanks

Use an old-style Optical 5.1 cable from the Sky Q box to the AVR?

Got my optical cable and connected the Sky Q straight into my AMP and presto, that has worked fine and all is in sync. I noticed it sounds better too which is a bonus.

Only problem now is that I have fixed one thing but now broke another. As the Sky Q optical out goes straight into my AMP and the HDMI of my Sky Q into my TV; if I use the TV apps such as Netflix, Amazon Video or Plex the sound from the AMP will still be coming from the Sky Q which means I have to manually change the input source on my amp to HDMI. There is auto but that doesn't seem to work as I cannot disable HDMI audio from the Sky Q box, which means it over-rides the optical each time and then I have lip sync issues. I think the only other way maybe to use optical out from the TV straight into the AMP and see if that works...
