Liquid Armor

When I get a new phone I'm buying some, I hate applying screen protectors, it's hard to get them air free and then after a few weeks they start peeling.

Hmm, not bad.

But I wonder if it affects the screen clarity/performance etc.

Reminds me of the crystallisation liquid protector, but it is more focused on providing an anti-fingerprint, grease layer.

Also, is it just me or does that guy sound a bit like Robin from the Batman TV show especially when he said "holy smokes" :p :D

Well it seems easy to scrape off so if it does affect clarity you can easily remove it. Think I will get some and try it after all. For my glasses that is - screw the phone, it's 2 years old so its resale value would be zilch now even unscratched and pristine! :)

Similar but not the same as there doesn't seem to be a layer to scrape off is Crystalusion Liquid Glass. I've had it on my phone for about a month now and used it on my previous One X for about 6 weeks before I stopped using the phone. It's a one shot application that lasts around 12 months, they say. Application is two wet wipes, one to clean the phone and one to apply the liquid glass. You could do 2 or 3 phones at the same time.

Now I'm highly skeptical but it's not right expensive so I thought I'd give it a shot as hate those plastic screen guards. I do a manual job in dust, dirt, grit and all manor of ****. Phone screen is still pristine after a month of use. Treated the mrs's iPhone at the same time. Compared to another iPhone in family her screen feels a little bit slicker now. Supposed to be anti bacterial and does make it easier to remove grease, sweat and fingermarks

I was going to try some Liquid Armor but difficult to get in the UK when I looked. Crystalusion seems to work. Don't get me wrong I do look after my phone and carry it in a pocket on it's own. Dust, grease and grit I can't keep out of said pocket all the time. It may well be snake oil but currently don't seem to have wasted £7  Time will tell for sure. BTW you can treat the whole of the phone though care has to be taken not to get liquid into the phone of course. I also shall not be doing a drag test behind a motobike :eek:

PS. It can't be removed as there seems to be nothing physical to remove and also does not affect screen clarity. Got to admit it sounds like I've treated my phone with 2 expensive baby wipes :D

Better video here, less stupid experiment more scratching. I must admit it looks great, you can't tell there is anything on the screen although it looks quite glossy.

Nice find!

EDIT: The ebay page I mean, not the original link - just felt like clarifying so as not to come across as if I was congratulating myself! :p

Mine's still on its way, so let us know how you find it, especially whether it makes the screen look dimmer or distorts the colours!
