Morning all, wondered if I could get a little assistance.

I purchased an overclockers pre-built system a couple of years ago, I think it was the predecessor to the machine in the link below.

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/infi...-watercooled-extreme-gaming-pc-fs-451-oe.html

What was the then red liquid coolant is now a grim dark purple and is in need of changing but I'm unsure how to do this. Would someone be able to talk me through it step by step, pretty certain my reservoir is the same as the one in the linked system.

Also if someome could recommend a replacement red coolant that would be great.

Many thanks

If the liquid is that grimy it's worth checking if you need to clean your blocks too, they may have gunk in them. How are your temperatures?

The steps to drain/refill are (after unplugging your PC!):

Figure out where you want to open the loop and drain from. Ideally there will be an easy spot near the bottom of the loop, a T-line or other specially placed drain port would be perfect.

Open up the loop over a bowl or container to catch the liquid, a length of flexible tubing is helpful here. Open the loop somewhere near the top (like the reservoir cap) to let air in. The loop will mostly drain now. Move the pc around to get liquid out of the blocks etc.

It's worth flushing the loop to clean old liquid out, if you have distilled water that's handy. Run some into the reservoir and through the loop a bit, then drain that too.

Seal up the drain port/ bottom of the loop again and refill the reservoir. Run the pump a few seconds to circulate liquid then top it up, repeat until all of the air is out the loop and blocks etc are filled. It's important not to run the pump while the reservoir is empty as it will get damaged.

Plenty of good video guides online, I like JayzTwoCents's one on draining and filling.

I will leave recommendations for liquid to others as I've never used coloured fluids.
