Hi.

I'm after people's experiences with the following coolants.

First off I have to state I'm getting clear flex tubing delivered on Monday.

I love the look of Mayhems Aurora ( who wouldn't ) but I've read many a mixed review around the net about it looking smart but not compatible with certain rads and blocks etc which is a shame as I think it looks the part.

So I'm thinking of going with the Mayhems pastel blue. Is there any problems with this coolant and blocks / rads?

I posted on the Mayhems Facebook wall but for some reason my question was removed so it's over to you guys.

Please tell me of your experiences

Cheers

aurora is for show builds, the complaints on the internet are people trying to use it as an everyday coolant

the pastel is, imho, the BEST everyday coolant to go for - has everything you need in it :)

Cheers mate. I read that it was recommended for modders but I also have read people using it everyday and swapping it out every 6 months.

Looks like pastel blue it is or now I'm maybe thinking X1 decisions decisions

I don't know how your question was removed we do not stop any questions even if they are flames. We respect ever one equally. Aurora is what it is and we didn't expect 100% perfect reviews as some user don't know how to read instructions and think they know better than we know lol but thats another matter realy.

Pastel is excellent except that thats no good with some tubing (tygon and Primochill (both made in same factory btw)) as there is a reaction to the chemicals we use to get the "White Look". Put it down to incompatibility realy not a flame war between products as some would try to do. If using clearflex as advised you will have no problems what so ever.

Pastel is a robust strong little bugger (all though on the more expensive side) of a coolant and in few months time we will be looking at it running in a single system for over 4 years. This in theroy makes it less than £5.00 a year for a coolant which IMHO is amazing realy.

Thee is a very old say "if some thing works leave it alone" ..

That is impressive, will you be doing a tear down of the loop in question at some point? As 4 years is a long time and well justifies the price per liter as you pointed out.

Cheers Mlwood. I agree that's exceptional value if it's lasted you 4 years.

So I take it pastel is good with all blocks?

Thanks for your input by the way much appreciated

Sorry if im hijacking here!

You mention there is a pastel fluid that is nearing 4 years (sounds awesome).

Based on that how often would you advise people replace the pastel fluid within their rigs?

Judging that for example the rig is used daily. Cheers!

I also have an aurora bottle here (it looked awesome!) but I havn't opened it as I read reviews and its purpose after... I may give it away at some point but im in the middle of moving so its way down on my priorities list :)

Also just so you know ive also tried using Primochill and Feser one. Both products were apparantly very good... They have blocked up my system in just under a year...

Stick with Mayhems!
