Just picked up an delided 4770k, poor clocker needing 1.31v for 4.4. The MX-4 give temps averaging 63c with an hour of realbench which is great for the voltage used.

Question is it worth trying the liquid pro or should I not bother.

I can only answer with an experience of a friends recent 4790k.
When he first put it all together stock clocks stock 1.27v he was getting temps of 90's in gaming and 100c in ibt or anything intensive using a gt110 wc.

He delidded it and put liquid pro on, he now has temps in the 50's-60's for intensive apps, and 40's when gaming at 4.8ghz using 1.31v.

For my friend he had to delid it and use liquid pro, he had no other choice.
Your temps don't look to bad for the voltage it would seem maybe you have another 2-300 mhz left providing it's not juicy, it might help your cpu to scale with less voltage so I'd give it a go with liquid pro if it was me.

If its taking 1.3 for 4.4 then your probably only gonna get 4.5 at maybe 1.35-1.37 i would guess.

If your getting 63 degrees benching at 1.31v then your not doing bad really. Liquid pro might knock a few degrees off but i cant see it making a huge difference.

you need liquid pro

I delidded and tested with mx4 it made no difference whatsoever to the temps, actually surprised me

liquid pro saw a 20c drop

Yeah but going by the temps hes already getting he must have very good heat transfer already, we were getting terrible temps before we went to liquid pro. Im guessing our IHS just wernt as flat as his is. 60 degrees while benching at 1.3v aint bad.

Liquid ultra applied and a massive 15c drop in prime95 and crysis 3 on the cpu intensive grass level.

Intel are *****, selling £300 CPUs with crap for paste.
