List of computer components

Could someone write up a top list of all computer components please?

Say for instance the best few processors and what would be a good RAM etc, basically what would be the best components of a computer?

Go to the shop, add the most expensive of each category then type them into Google and see what comes up.

A quick method if you want the best and most expensive would be to choose the type of componant on the sidebar and filter the price starting with most expensive.

No really, just look at other topics and you will soon see whats hot at the moment. Also check out the special deals going this week.

"Best" is subjective. What is best for me isn't best for you.

There is "most expensive", "highest performance", "quietest", "sexiest looking", "most esoteric", and so on.

The really important thing is to know what you need the kit for, and get something that is best for those needs alone. There si no need to spend a lot of loads of money on over-specced gear.

Bit of a pointless OP.
What you want, is this for a build or something else?
As said best components are the most expensive but totally pointless.
If it's for a build best thing is to decide your top budget, then build to that.

even this is ridiculous, but would be my top spec. Although it's a bit old now so prices have probably dropped and I don't think i would spend the extra on vertex ssd drives any more. Probably go with crucial ones.
