Liteon dvd Recorder

Does anyone know if the Liteon LVW 5045 GDL unit plays the HDTV xvid files? i currently have a player which plays xvid ok but not the hdtv ones, so hope this does?

None have the required horsepower. You need a PC. The only alternative is an xbox running XBMC. You need to upgrade the processor if you want it to play 720p.

Hi there so the Liteon LVW 5045 GDL & 5055 models both will play avi & Dvix type files ? if i read the spec correct .. :confused:

Doesn't the Kiss600DP run HD quality content?

They're just normal xvids encoded from hdtv i take it? If so the liteon should play them fine.

I assumed you were talking about real HD encodes from HDTV sources which the Liteon cannot play (1.5GB+ for a 45min show). I suspect Kfa and Liteon support are referring to HD conent encoded at regular non-hdtv resolutions which nearly all divx players can handle (350mb for a 45mins).

yes that is what i think they meant,so the answer is yes it can play HD conent encoded at regular non HDTV Res ,on a dvd disc which sounds good
