LiteOn lvw 1150hc+ Horrible DivX stutter (fix)

Hi all my first post on these forums.

Last week I purchased a LiteOn LVW1150HC+ DVD player it worked fine with the exception of a dreadful stutter on DivX playback.

I tried upgrading the firmware to the latest , still no good the stutter was still there making it impossible to watch.

after a lot of searching around the net I found a fix (at least until liteon fix the firmware)

Seems this model cant read the data in a packed bitstream correctly.

so downloading a tool like. MPEG4 Modifier you can upack the bitstream in a few seconds before burning your file to disk.

Hope this helps some of you out.

My rents are looking at replacing their vcr with a dvd recorder and I spotted the liteon for a good price elsewhere. How are you finding it apart from the stuttering on divx?
