Little 360 problem/question

Okay so I hooked my 360 up to one of my samsung 913N monitors.
Everything is working a treat and looks great out of actual game play
BUT, when I go into the actual game, (PGR3 by the way) so out of the
menus, everything gets really stretched horizontally. So the cars look
stupidly thing and everything is out of proportion.
My XBox is set up to use 1280x1024 res.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ah that's disappointing.
Won't happen in future releases I presume? I mean now they know that it happens...
