Hi there

wondering if i could steal some you hexperts time, i am currently using a samsung syncmaster 2253LW but have the chance to pick up a dell 2407wfp revision ao4, just wondering if it would be the better display or not

ooo Dell 2407WFP A04 - nice monitor :) How much are you able to get it for and does it come with warranty?

The dell uses a S-PVA panel while your current samsung uses a TN film panel. Here is some more info on the differences of these technologies.

To boil it down, the Dell has better image quality (deeper blacks, a wider range of colours) and much wider viewing angles - also the Dell is bigger and higher resolution. Meanwhile, the Samsung is slightly more responsive and has much lower input lag than the dell.

What do you plan to use the monitor for? If it is anything other than competitive FPS gaming - then the 2407 will be miles better than your current samsung.
 
not sure on the warrenty atm but i have it here and can check, the guy is asking for 100 notes

will be used for gaming and movies, mostly games world of warcraft, modern warfare etc
