i need a little favour please..... i'm using my local library for internet access and i can't download this file - i'm getting an error from their internal proxy server thingy... :p

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...69-57ff-4ae7-96ee-b18c4790cffd&displaylang=en (12mb)

could someone download it and host it on their own webspace or skydrive or something (preferably not any of these free upload sites with timers or anything - it's unlikely i can access them from here.)

many thanks :)

woosh

(please don't quote the address so I can edit it out later)

thanks pho - but i think i'm on a dodgy pc here because it's still not working. you can remove the link/file. i'll have to try again on a different day. :)

fool it? (it's a renamed zip), should be able to save as from your browser and rename to .zip after.

it's bizarre - i can download other files just fine - for example i just downloaded the latest ati catalyst 9.2s - a 62mb exe just fine. i just can't download this file in any shape or form from many different locations..... :confused:

Odd. Final go then:
<woosh>

(it's not the catalyst drivers)
Surely should work :p.

Any chance you can post the error up? May help work out what was causing it. You were definately connecting (unless that was someone else).

i'm getting the same error from your webspace, skydrive and the official ms website...... :p

ICAP Error (icap_error)

An error occurred while performing an ICAP operation: File decompression/decode error; File: rktools.exe; Sub File: No file name available; Vendor: Kaspersky Labs; Engine error code: 0x00050000; Engine version: 5.0.0.38; Pattern version: 090302.123730.1861861; Pattern date: 2009.03.02 12:37:30
There could be a network problem, the ICAP service may be misconfigured, or the ICAP server may have reported an error.

For assistance, contact your network support team.

i get the same error with the zip/exe no matter where the source is. like i said in the first post, i'm almost certain it's the proxy server here in the library generating this....
