Hi! i am needing a little help with modifying my current graphics set up. My graphics card is a Zotac GT 430 and its starting to show signs of giving up :( I was looking at the Geforce GTX 650 2 GB and the GTX 750 TI. I have a 300 watt psu (which i know isnt great) and my processor is a AMD Athlon II X4 605e (not great either i know) 8 GB of Ram. Just any advice on the graphics front would be great! :) Thank you!

The 750 ti is actually quite a nice upgrade for your system due to its very low TDP (60w!), which is actually lower than your 430 (which is 85w). Wouldn't need a PSU upgrade due to that, although I'd still be tempted to swap it out for a newer one if you can afford it just because PSU's pull less wattage as they age naturally.

I'd swap out your PSU for starters, even with a 750Ti as James said^
What's your max budget? You're talking used 670/760 money there, which are quite a lot faster than the 750Ti

thanks so much guys for the quick feed back. i currently have a 600 watt PSU sitting doing nothing. It doesn't fit into my current case as the case is a mini tower. (was going to use the 600 watt for another pc build) which is rubbish because it would be great to put it inside the mini tower. My max budget for a card would probably be around £120, i know thats not a lot to work with =\ Thanks again guys!

Definitely a used GTX 670/760 if you can get that new PSU in. If not, you'll have to go 750Ti

thanks for that Micky! il have a look at the 270 and the 270x as well! Its been a while since i have had a Radeon card, always stuck with Geforce but i would love to try Radeon again. Thanks again!
