Last saturday, i ordred a present for my dad (3800x2) - while at the same time my mate orderd the same for his brother.

For postage i thought i would play it safer and pay £6 for the next day city link delivery, where as he paid for 2nd class royal mail.

2 days later, his arrives :rolleyes:

7 days later and im still waiting for mine - just been told it should be here on monday - cutting it fine?

Waste of £6.

Its the postage that makes the products that much more expensive, yet it didnt seem worth it in the end.

I know its christmas etc, but royal mail seemed to be doing fine :mad:

Grr oh well.
 
If you paid for next day delivery, and the item was dispatched at the same day as your friend's, and you both live in the same area (eg mainland england), then it's an issue with the courier company.

Claim your money back from them, as ocuk will have fulfilled their promises (if the dispatch date was the same as your friends)

EDIT - Also remember that especially at this time of year, many courier drivers (not just citylink) just don't deliver some of their packages due to time constraints etc). Sometimes I've waited in for the courier, and they never even left a card, but yet they claim they left one and rang the doorbell. Just take this into consideration too. It's not right, but what can you do?

I never trust xmas delivery times anyway
 
Im not saying its OCuK's fault, its just a moan in general.

I understand its christmas, i just think a little more communication wouldn't go a miss.
 
ive been having problems with the post lately aswell

firsty a paid £3 for next day postage which took a week and a half, so when i needed to rma something this week i paid £7.30 for next special delivery (cause i thought there might of been a chance could get my things back before xmas) a week ago and its only just arrived

dam royal mail :(
 
I got one of these 3800 X2's. Now I normally drive up the A50 to Stoke as it is cheaper (around £4 of diesel) and far more reliable that paying for a courier.

However the CPU was so small that it was cheaper for me to use Royal Mail. Worked a treat. I was a bit worried because of the time of year.

Couriers are normally crap no matter what time of year. :mad: :(
 
That is the problem with ordering in the busiest few days of the year unfortunately.
 
Welcome to xmas rush, all the couriers are suffering more than ever this winter due to mass increase in online purchasing compared to last.
 
i was going to say yesterday how good RM has been as they got a parcel to me just fine on special delivery but i sent something out on friday by RMSD and it was guaranteed for today but it hasn't arrived :(

Hehe no probs, Xmas can be a stressful time so get it out your system now, learn from your mistakes and realise 'that which does not kill you, makes you stronger'

No one is gonna die so **** it, break out the mince pies and start getting into the festive season! :)

Yeah! Last week they started saying things like - "If it's not been put in the system by 2pm, it won't get there next day" etc. etc.

But as Big.Wayne points out, it's just Christmas, and if it really is the thought that counts....

Next year, I'm just going to think about sending presents:D

It didnt turn up - and i doubt it will :) Such a small parcel, probably got lost lol.

Oh well. :(((((((

Whens OCuK open next so i can phone them up and rage? :D

ITS BEEN LOST!

Yea, thats right, now i have to ring back tomorow morning and if they havnt found it, either send me another one or refund the money.

I want both :P
