little mod i did today

I can't stand those retro-fit flat wiper blades. The standard arms are not designed for them, and they just look stupid. A massive joint and the arms sit miles away from the blade. To me they just say 'I like to make out my car is newer than it is'.

^ i thought that aswell until i came across the bosch ones.

but they are deffo better on the motorway

Stop moaning :p They look fine, and they work better due to the way they're made - they allow for better contact area on the screen, which helps keep crap out from underneath them. And as I said, mine are a year old now and work like new when it's raining

I used to use Bosch wipers religeously but was never actually all that impressed by them or how often they needed replacing to keep working well. I bought a set of these 3 years ago and never looked back: http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=40_65&products_id=533

They are miles better than the Bosch and I am still on my original set :). Proper money but proper results. No idea if they do them for normal cars but just thought I'd say.

Wow, do they seriously make you that angry?

I bought some. Not only do they work much better, they are better at speed, they have lasted longer than standard ones and they are also completely silent.

yup, i think they look utterly pony too and also thinking theyre on par with krystal headlights (and other guff) for people wanting to make their car look less ancient, but fail miserable by making it just look crap

ps ive just got normal £6 a pair wipers on my car, they are silent, they work really well.

i think i now need to know EXACTLY how much better wipers can get, cos i think im really missing out on something big here. must get better wipers

what about changing normal bulbs to leds? is that also on your hate list aswell matt?

people upgrade/mod things, get over it

I really don't get Matt's hate for subtle effective modifications yet he still has a "DA CROOOZE UK" sticker or whatever it says plastered to his back window :D

They sit lower that normal wiper blades. And whilst I found that normal wiper blades would often be ok for a month or two, they soon began to degrade into a smearing, screechy mess which would make an annoying 'clunk' at the end of their travel.

Why must you get better wipers? You just said yours were fine?

i am lazy and its coming off soon. my need for speed underground 'respect' points are going to plummet

one of my biggest hates are those chromed indicator bulbs. how sad can you get?

How sad can you get, getting enraged over a silvered indicator bulb. All you have done in Motors over the last couple of days is rant about midifications you hate, get over it.
