Little red washers!

These invariably are supplied with motherboards but are never mentioned in the assembly instructions!
Should they be used with the motherboard fixing screws or are they optional?
 
I always thought it was best not to use them since a lot of the mounting points on the mobo are grounds and need a good connection to the case or am I just plain wrong (again)? :p

The motherboard is also grounded thru the black cables going to the PSU, so you could even use a wood case if you wanted too! Basically, use those washers and don't worry about grounding. :)

I hadn't used them but will do so when I have to remove and fit the board again.

Started my first build last night; fit motherboard I/O shield to case was my first instruction - no ******* I/O shield in the Asus box :(
