Little upgrade help?

I'm looking to make a couple upgrades to my old system. While saving for a new system.
Just to tie over for a few more months then it's going to my brother.

Specs are:

[email protected]
4gb Kingston hyper x @1066
I did have a GPU but that died last night

which was a 8800gtx oc2

I've been looking at the following:

Ssd

I'm not 100% on the GPU as not sure if it will cause a bottleneck to happen so would need some advice in choosing a GPU.
I will be adding more ram he same Kingston hyper x.

i think its good, should run a lot cooler

aslong as ur sure its the 8800 broke!

I checked everything and it pointed to the 8800 red dots on screen etc
Do you think it may cause a bottleneck with the q6600 and the 660?

would depend on game and res how much i guess
it will let u have pretty gfx^^
