Nothing of real importance. Just wanted to share. Ordered from ocUK (on pre-order as of yesterday yet it arrived today!). Thanks ocUK!

After seeing Stalker 2 specs now saying 32GB RAM was required for High / Epic, I thought I'd take the plunge and do a small upgrade. Moved up to 48GB. If I sell my current memory it makes it quite an inexpensive change. Still 6000MT/s and CL30 for that sweet spot. No hassle again with this Corsair RAM and the ASRock mobo. Straight in, EXPO enabled, and Performance set to Aggressive. Took the opportunity to flash to latest BIOS with the latest optimisations for the new X3D chips as well.

Notepad is going to run sooo sweet now.

Some needless pictures lol.

but why, did you need it.
and 6000mhz cl30 is defo no longer the sweet spot, and look at the other timings hahah.

you have to love corsair's new give it a good CL and they will buy it idea
Why do we do anything on an enthusiast forum, cause we like to build and change, and I can afford to do it. Jeez a £100 memory change. Shame on me. 6000MT and CL30 is perfect for AMD. Dunno why you're laughing.

Totally disagree with you.

The only better CAS timings I can see is CL28 from G.Skill, and I struggled to find any G.Skill 48GB CL28 kits in stock and more importantnly certainly not for the price I've ended up paying (post-sale £100). CL28-36-36-98 for G.Skill vs mine, which is CL30-36-36-76? How are those terrible exactly?

6000MT/s and CL30 is the sweet spot. For Zen4 and Zen5. The only thing I can assume you are hinting at is that Zen5 can now potentially go up to 6400MT/s 1:1? The information online still recommends 6000MT/s and CL30.

This is from AMD (as we know) telling us 6000MT/s is the sweet spot (this specific for Zen4) - https://www.tomshardware.com/news/amd-confirms-ddr5-6000-ram-is-the-sweet-spot-for-ryzen-7000-cpus

We now have Zen5 info - https://wccftech.com/amd-ryzen-9000...dr5-memory-run-cooler-lower-power-by-default/

Which still says:

"The optimal performance is anticipated at DDR5-6000 1:1, with the maximum threshold set at 6400 MT/s on both X670 and X870 chipsets."

A performance scaling review can be found here - https://www.techpowerup.com/review/ddr5-memory-performance-scaling-with-amd-zen-5/

Key takeaway in their conclusion on all of this:

"...DDR5-6400 CL32, at 1:1 UCLK to make things more interesting, which requires a bit of tinkering and luck, because that's pushing the memory controller hard"
Buying Recommendations
"When it comes to buying DDR5 memory for AMD Ryzen processors, DDR5-6000 strikes the best balance between performance and cost, making it the recommended sweet spot for most users. For optimal results, look for memory with tight timings, such as 6000 CL30, which is widely available and reasonably priced...Tested at EXPO, Memory speeds between 6000 and 7200 tend to show diminishing returns, so opting for DDR5-6000 is usually the better choice."

Hopefully that clears it all up for you.

What are you prattling on about. You clearly just chose to ignore absolutely all of the evidence I posted earlier. Not quite sure why you have a chip on your shoulder but all I can say is thank god for the ignore button. You can take your silly ramblings and childish replies elsewhere. @Stanners can you lock this thread for me please, put this one to bed. Thanks.
