Hey guys

Was just playing Pro Evo 6 on live, getting some ranked matches in. Was playing one guy and I noticed about 3/4 of the way through the first half it was like he wasnt actually playing any more. So i carried on just incase.

At half time, I went onto 'Begin Second Half' and was waiting for him to press it too. I waited, and eventually the timer expired so i assumed the 2nd half would begin, it didnt, I thought that was wierd, and he still didnt come back. I gave it 5 more minutes, then eventually quit, which was a shame for me as I had a nice little winning streak going plus it would ruin my no disconnect record.

Anyway about 10 minutes later he sends me a message saying hes filed a complaint against me for exploiting a cheat/bug, and it turns out he was waiting for me too so he quit as well getting him a disconnect too.

Now this has happened to me in a few normal matches before but never a ranked one, it seems the two players go out of sync and go off into there own little matches. Annoying bug and one I hope they fix soon

But my question is, what will happen now with this complaint? I understand its a little more serious than negative rep, and I dont wanna get in trouble on Live! and jeapordise my account as I really enjoy playing online. How many strikes do you get to your name before they ban you?

Many thanks

Steedie

Certainly never heard of anyone actually being banned, maybe if everyone on Live moaned about you they might look at your account but I owuld forget about it. Well, after returning the favour of course.

I have at least 2, from 2 idiots I stole a load of money from on Texas Hold Em. Sore losers :p

I can understand your frustration. Unfortunatly this simply part of xbl and will be until developers/microsoft do something that can stop this. At least games like burnout revenge penalise you for quitting a ranked match by increasing you're world ranking, but there are games like TDU where a player can quit a ranked match whenever they want to and have any type of penalty at all. I'd say TDU is quite bad - e.g. opponent messes up 1st turn and they quit.

DOA4 is quite bad too. Get your opponent in a few good juggles, get a couple of nice launchers on them and they quit soon after. I'll never forget a silly guy from Germany (i think) called "oIeXodus 32Io": "Everyone knows its impossible to get more than a 5 hit combo online, expect a complaint soon.....[quits]". He was just mad a got a particularly nice laucher, followed it up with 8 hits and finished with one of Hayate's best finishers too, aswell as getting environmental damage.

Just rise above dude.

^ bet theres a few people exploiting that one then

And I bet its hard to find someone who plays a whole game lol

If your referring to burnout i wouldn't say it's a big problem. I tend to play with people on my friends list who firstly play for fun and secondly don't quit. E.g i have had soke ace games and laughs with madfruit, whiteroser (J), Psymonkee, cokecan72, to name but a few from this forum. If you play random public ranked games expect a lot of people is quit though.

I think you would have to have complaints made from more than a few people before they take any action in suspending your account.

When I first got on Live, I played a 4 player race on PGR3. One player from Switzerland was obviously more experienced than me at it and he got really annoyed and quit when he got knocked off the race track. Now I was just racing normally and blocking the racing line, as I was ahead of him from the start. He claimed I was crashing into him on purpose, which was a load rubbish.

When I get back to the dashboard I find I have a new voice message where he swears at me for about a minute. I don't know whether MS can check things that have been sent like that, but it was a blatant missuse of the system and I reported him.

sounds like typical pgr3, just come within an inch of another player's car and it -ve feedback all the way.
