Ive just been reading up on a channel ( Dish Earth ) on a US Satellite called EchoStar 11.

The DISH Network has announced the launch of DISH Earth, a channel exclusively available to DISH Network customers, offering dramatic live views of Earth 24 hours per day, including passing views of the moon, Venus, and even unidentified flying objects

The DISH Earth channel content is supported by a camera installed on DISH Network's EchoStar 11 satellite - the world's first Earth-directed camera mounted on a commercial communications satellite.

Does anyone know if there is a similar feed via the internet ?
A live 24hr 365 feed either into space or looking down at earth. Im not interested in the NASA feeds at the moment

enter simman ! ;)

Send a letter to Sky asking them to do the same ! Tell them you have 5000 Virgin Media customers waiting to switch if they do :p

Wow I want this would be great to chill out too.

This is great news and about time someone did it, hopefully it will be a proper live hd video stream, i actually thought it was a bit suspicious we never had anything but grey images or close up weather views in the past, considering how easy it is to point a camera at the earth.

There used to be stuff on sky late at night which was just hours of footage of the earth from space, wasnt particuarly high orbit, but it was good to chill out to when you came home from the pub.
