Hi would like some information from personal use of Live for speed in single player mode i will not be going on line and it's very important i can play single player well.

I know i can go online for information but would like some people to give me there personal experience with single player.

many thx jay.

The demo for the game is free and contains a few cars and a track so why don't you find out for yourself?

I enjoyed the demo and although the graphics is hardly state of the art the realism and handling is up there with the top simulators. Still £24 for the full S2 license is still a bit too much I think.

Don't agree at ALL.

That £24 has given me more playing time than the £50 of FS-X Deluxe, £18 of Supreme Commander, £9.99 for HL2.

Its a suburb game with nearly weekly updates and recently we got a new car for free.

I started with the demo but I spend 99% of my time online.

TOTALLY worth it with a wheel! SO SO SO much fun, especially Cops N Robbers :D

Wasn't too bad with just a KB either.

didnt the recent patch introduce significant changes to the AI, or is that still on the drawing board, as i imagine that would make SP more enjoyable, though of course, online is where its at

It's hard. You'll need a wheel, don't bother if you only use the keyboard!

No you don't, I play it with mouse&keyboard and enjoy it a lot, just use the mouse for steering, only disadvantage is you cant controll how much throttle or brakes you're gona use but steering is perfectly fine.

The ai can be a bit annoying but It's still very enjoyable to drive imo.

This however is all subjective...
Download and try the demo first, then if you like it buy the S2 version.

With the recent Y patch, the AI are now pretty darn good (I've read, not raced against them). You can always compete in the hotlap charts as well, all laps are set offline and replays uploaded to LFSWorld.

£24 too much...I don't think so, I bought S1 for £12 back in August 2003 then another £12 when S2 came out in 2005. Well worth it considering the amount of gameplay I've had out of it, LFSWorld says I've done 56950 miles online.
