I have just reinstalled my laptop, I downloaded the most recent version of MSN Live Messanger (Build 14.0.8117.416)

This seems to have taken away the send my webcam option, and only has video calling.

Does anyone have a previous version build number that I can search for and download to bring this function back?

Thanks

if you click on your webcam icon next to your display picture you can "show my webcam" which just sends them an invite to view it

My goodness...

I spent 6hrs with a customer dealing with this issue this week alone !

I thought what is this mad woman trying too tell me her webcam on msn doesnt work like it use too, dispite the fact I logged in and spoke too a m8 and he was able too see me just fine. She was telling me but I cant see myself anymore and i was like what are you on about u supposed too see the other person only... but she was "desperate" too see how she looks and too see another fella at the sametime !

Anyhow I downloaded an full msn build from here:

http://www.solidblogger.com/download-new-msn-or-windows-live-messenger-2009-full-offline-installer/

And it solved the problem think it was 2009 windows live, so a much older one.

However the link u pointed shows that the newer versions and ms themselves seem to be scrapping the feature/ Hence I expect this crazy mad woman to come back to my store so ill print out that link and staple too her forehead:)

Not really the same

I just want to be able to send my webcam, without someone else having to initiate a voice call.

Someone must still have the old version and be able to give me the version number so i can download it?

i had this problem with mine the other day, would only do a video call and my web-cam would not turn on...

on msn if you go to tools > Audio and video set-up, then if you click next you will get your web-cam set up, choose your web-cam from the drop down box (there might be 2 of the same) then click ok, and it should work! ( if it don't work choose the 2nd web cam if its there!)
