LIVE PLAYER 3.2

Folks, please be aware of this piece of filth if you stream slightly dubious online sport (not that any of you would ever do such a thing, of course...:p).
It pops up on the video feed, claiming to be a required codec for that site- it isn't, but it had me fooled.:o
It totally screws Chrome up, opens loads of instances (all betting site ads), popups everywhere, no response from the mouse- except luckily the 'close' button.
It is also a BIG pita to get rid of...
I have managed to shift it, and am now having a large scotch and a cigar to celebrate. :D

Sorry, didn't notice the replies to the thread.
If I can remember, this is how I got rid of it...
1. Go to folder options in CP and turn on 'show hidden files and folders'
2. Go to c:\users\<your profile>\appdata\local\google\chrome\userdata\default\extensions and locate the long-filenamed extension folder for live player. (In Chrome, in the Extensions settings page, click the 'Developer mode' box at the top, Live Player's filename will be shown), delete the hell out of it, and hard-delete anything that isn't a VBScript or CRX file (there will be a couple of .bat files lurking in there- this is how LivePlayer reinstalls itself).
3. Navigate to c:\programfiles(x86)\google\chrome\application, and in one of the folders, find chrmstp.exe. Run it- this will clean-install Chrome again. Note that doing this without the first two steps will not work!
You should now be Live Player 3.2 free!

Be careful clicking the x to remove it from display (though not pc ofc). Generally the large x you see is a link that will automatically download it or bring up yet another advert pop up.

There is always a really really small x usually on the bottom left of the vid feed. That is the one to click.
