hey guys, wondering whats your take on live streams?

I currently do it and do find it rather enjoyable :)

Let me know if you have a live stream yourself, feel free to post! or curious on how to set one up, i am more than happy to help.

My Setup
Xbox 360
HD PVR
Programs:
xSplit
HD PVR software

My LiveStream: www.twitch.tv/mrzenx

I don't get along with FFSplit. It's free but Xsplit just feels easier to use.
OBS (open broadcast software) is another option which a friend uses.

I use XSplit, it is a little sluggish, no doubt because it is based on flash, but it works well enough at the mo. Still waiting on a live edit mode which Wirecast has, but that thing costs some mega £££.

Using Black Magic Intensity Shuttle & Intensity Pro cards for the game capture.
Logitech C910 web cams for player / commentary cams. (works the best with XSplit, Microsoft lifecams can freeze/crash)

Open Broadcaster (OBS) is by far, the best software to stream with if your system supports it (requires directx 10 gfx card)
I stream using an Elgato Game Capture HD

I like watching speedruns on Twitch. I prefer to watch things like that than normal TV!

I was watching speedruns of Majora's Mask, and the amount of glitches in that game was Unbelieveable.

Mario 64 is another game that I thought I was good at, and i'm watching speedrunners make mario parkour everywhere, soo impressive.

I sometimes watch speed runs as well, it amazes me how fluid some of the players are at exploiting / jumping etc.

Been watching some guy do San Andreas currently, seems its based more on luck with things going well then anything else :p.

It amazes me how they can keep playing the same game over and over again. I'd get so bored. And with GTA:SA, the guy can just reset the timer and start all over again if he makes a mistake - even if he's been playing for two hours. That would drive me nuts.

I've started streaming StarCraft 2 ladder matches and tournament casts I do on twitch.tv/Kreeeee.

None of this rubbish CoD streaming for me! ;)
