Live! to Australia

One of my mates is now living in Australia and I miss some of our mammoth Pro Evo sessions.

I was thinking of getting him to buy a 360 so we could play online, but I'm guessing it would be so laggy to the extent of being unplayable.

Anyone have any experience of playing someone halfway across the world?

I used to play the original Ghost Recon with a guy from Australia.

He said it was fine, no lag or anything.

Never found anyone on PES who plays anywhere other than Europe.

I remember seeing a thing on IGN about the aussies getting annoyed with laggy xbox Live because of where they are, and the closest they have is like Japan, and the no dedicated servers was a sore point with the aussies.

Yeah, I was actually out in Australia with my mate for the first year (he stayed having got a local preggers) and the broadband was pretty sucky.

I'll look into it a bit further before I get him to splurdge 580 dollery-doos on a 360.
