Had this idea for a thread after listening to the following:

A better quality version is available on some of the streaming services if you want to avoid YouTube's 240p compression.

What are your favourite live versions of tracks?

The Chain live, when they were off their faces on hate, resentment, coke and whatever else was going, the guitar work, the evil eyes being thrown about, and the superb performance.

As much as Cheryl Cole would be pigeon holed as nothing but a girl band singer, she does a better job on the live version of this Snow Patrol song during a children in need live event, imo.
Much prefer this version to the original.

I'm a big PATD fan, this live version of the song takes it to a whole new level. It's incredible, Bredon is unbelievably talented.

The Album version is still pretty good but the Live version (with a different female vocalist TBF) is just amazing, especially the climax!

There hasn't been a bad version of Sultans of Swing, but this may well be the best...
Came in to post Private Investigations from the same tour.

Which of course then segues straight into Sultans of Swing :)

/edit - Actually all the songs on Alchemy are better than the studio versions. Romeo And Juliet is another utter masterpiece.

Comfortably Numb at Knebworth is one of the best performances of it ever.

Also a cover.

You could probably pick anything from this set. If you haven't heard (or seen) the MTV Unplugged performance, do yourself a favour and watch.
