My landlady gets our internet through Orange and so we have to use the stupid (and crap) Livebox Router.
One of my housemates recently got a new laptop and we went through the usual steps to connect her to the router, pressing the '1' button and imputing the ridiculous 26 character WEP code.
Everything was fine until the router restarted itself, a very frequent occurrence I might add. At this point, the router 'forgot' about us pairing her with the system and we had to do it again.
Upon closer inspection she wasn't being added to the list of associated devices. In a small experiment that monumentally backfired, I removed my own laptop from the associated devices list and tried to pair with it.
I now find myself in the same unfortunate position as my housemate, neither of us are being added to the associated devices list despite pairing with the router in the usual way.
I'm very close to throwing the damn thing out of the window and buying a decent router but I don't know what the broadband account password is.
Has anyone experienced this?
