Hi all,

I'm looking to build a ryzen based system but I'm stuck for a mobo. I don't have much room in the case as its an htpc case really for maximum OH appeal.

So what I need advice for (specifically) is a mobo that supports ryzen APUs and has a PCIe SSD slot. I don't really have too much room for a sata drive of any kind. I've attached a picture of the case I'm using in case there are any questions.

Thanks,
David

you said its just a mobo that you're stuck on but what is the rest of the components you have?

To be honest very few but I'm constrained by space. I have a bluray drive and some ram from another build.

I could, at a push, cable tie a standard sata ssd to the case somewhere but there really isn't too much room.

Why do you ask? do you foresee other issues?

As an example with the ram if it's older ddr3 it wouldnt work in the b450 mobos or

More just checking for compatibility perposes. No point us recommended something that might not work with what you are reusing.

Most new boards have an m.2 slot for SSD which wouldnt take up any space in the case as the drive slots into the motherboard.

Fair enough. I was looking to use an m.2 drive anyway so that's good if most support it these days. I'm happy to replace any ram I have. I'll always have uses for old ram so it's not such and issue.
