Planning a PC for the living room ever since I saw the Lian Li A3 with the wood front panel and thought it would look nice. Also its a best room for VR which I hardly use because it requires relocating my PC to the living room so this should remove that step and maybe I'll actually use it more often.

I would love some suggestions or critiques for my planned parts list before I start buying anything.

The parts in my plan so far are:

Lian Li A3 White Wood
ASRock B850M Pro RS Wifi
Ryzen 7 9800X3D
G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo 6000 CL30 32GB(2x16)

PSU and GPU are still undecided.

I will post updates when I have any, but any advice before then is much appreciated.

What resolution will you gaming at as this determins the needed GPU level required to achieve playable frames along with PSU requirements ?

Also the latest AAA titles need a lot more GPU to achieve the above if that's your plan.

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread as my son's gaming room is really too small for his VR setup.

I'll be interested in your final specs and how it performs. We might be lucky in that our TV is only 55" and HDMI.

What screen are you going to be running?

Not familiar with that case, but looks quite cool. Do you have enough space on where you're planning to put it (like on a TV unit or something)?

I've been using a pc with my TV for years now and can't really imagine a reason I'd stop, just use an older fractal define mini (maybe, not sure of exact model) as it's fairly unassuming and plain so doesn't really look out of place.

Only potential issue I can see with the A3 is how loud it could get being a smaller case depending on what gpu you're putting in there, what cpu cooler are you planning on using?
