Currently running my 4770k at 4.5ghz, vcore in bios of 1.262500v. Very hot running chip if i run p95 small fft. 94c on the hottest core. With LLC set to auto it's running at 1.280v under load. P95 blend or games it hits 1.264v and a max temp of 72c. Wondering if i can set LLC manually to try and drop the vcore.

the highest llc is usually the best on haswell(atleast on gigabyte boards)

and then lower the cpu v or adaptive offset to suit

I find it doesn't matter what llc you use aslong as you adjust offset to compensate for it,but might be different using a fixed cpu v

On this board wazza, theres so many options for LLC, it's not like my old asus Z77 board where you had low, mediun, high, extreme etc. Ive just left it to auto. I am using a fixed vcore but with the c states left on auto. Ill never be stressing this chip with p95/ibt etc as it runs too hot. And i believe adaptive voltage is even worse if you do decide to run something like p95.
