Lloyds TSB, applying online

Your total and utter lazyness knows no bounds.

https://secure.currentaccounts.lloy...aspx?w=LTSB&account=classic&urn=AL10005663336

What you'll need

You may find it quicker to complete your application if you have these details to hand:

Your income details, including your pension and investments if relevant.
Details of any benefits you may receive.
Details of your addresses and postcodes for the last 3 years.
Your employer’s address if relevant.

It'll take longer than going into a branch. You fill in the form online and then they'll post the application to you to sign. Then you sign and return it, then they open the account.

Think it's mainly just ID (Passport normally best) and info on salary/income information etc... - been a few years since I did one though!

i opened a halifax account online and they were able to confirm my idenity digitally so i never needed anything to proove who i was, i guess they use the elecrol register..

took about 2 weeks before i recieved all of my bank account information , debit card etc

Read their own website, and apply some common sense.

What do you think you need when opening an account?

If the answer is "I don't know, thats why I'm asking" then ask yourself "Should I be opening an account?"

Basically all you'll need is ID (Passport or Drivers License. Failing that, any major ID card should be fine too) and proof of your address, such as a recent phone bill. Those are the most basic things that you'll need. They may also require proof of income ect depending on what type of account you're looking to open.
