LLU/BE questions

The SNR margin varies with the speed the modem's connected at, so there's not much point quoting one without the other. You should get full rate, though it looked like interleaving had been enabled as well.

Done a few downloads via usenext and been hitting 700kbps so seems like I will get a good connection with BE when I decide to switch from ADSL to ADSL2+

... If your real lucky they might give you then and there ... otherwise they will tell you 5 days and if you would like to know via regular post or email :)

Here's hoping!

Orange were witholding information from me by saying the max on my line was 6meg, but they didnt mention that this was the max on ADSL and that I was expected to get more on ADSL2+ lol

Will be phoning them tonight.

After fighting with Orange to get my mac code they have finally caved and will be sending out my mac code in the next few days. Failing that i can phone up tonight and get it over the phone.
Once i get that Be it is. Thanks for everyones help.

... were you still inside your first 12 month contract with orange then ... if so even sweeter mate

I was due to come out of my last renewal in September. So yeah, will phone up tonight to see if the MAC code is ready then do the internet shebang with BE tonight :D

Finally got the mac code from orange. I have now contacted Be to get them started on the switch. Fingers crossed it goes quickly. I went with the Be Pro package since i was on about 20pm for orange up to 8meg and Be are giving me at least 12meg default with hopefully 2.5meg upload for around the same price! :)

My bad, that was a typo - meant to say 16meg the 12meg was 12 months contract.
Just an update, Orange managed to give me the incorrect MAC code, the geniuses.

Had to phone them last night to get the code again and have passed this back to BE.

Update: BE have e-mailed me confirming I will get the new router by the 20th July. Very quick!
