I live 5.8km from the exchange, used to have 1/mbit at 15db SNR with my 3 COM router. Since joining talktalk, they have put me on LLU and I now get an SNR of 1-6db, anything below 6db stops my net from working. Talktalk say they cannot do anything about it as their equipment always syncs to the highest speed. I have tried changing the microfilters and using different cables without success. I can't access the net for more than a few mins each time
These are my stats:

Stream Type Actual Data Rate
Up Stream 447 (Kbps.)
Down Stream 5382 (Kbps.)

Noise Margin 21 dB 2 dB
Attenuation 52 dB 46 dB

I think the solution is to trick their equipment into dropping the sync speed, is there an ADSL line booster or gadget I can connect to the line?
