Hey all,

Having a bit of a nightmare with BT as of late. The snr margin on the line has risen to 15dB, and no amount of pleading with my ISP (ADSL24) has seemed to have any effect.

The fault get's logged because I'm running below the fault threshold, but they're looking for a physical fault, and so they end up closing it with the excuse "user equipment or drivers believed to be incorrect"

Anyway, despite telling ADSL24 that BT Wholesale can reset the line to 6dB, it never gets passed the "line check" stage, and I feel that the ISP is going to start turning a blind eye.

Which brings me on to my question.. If I swap to a LLU provider, will the SNR margin be reset in the migration process? (My logic is that usual ISPs are using BT IPstream, and won't reset it, regardless of migration)

If anyone knows anything concrete, then let me know.. I can't bare the severly reduced speeds for much longer.. I'd rather go to LLU for 12 months, than live on a cripple line, just because the contract is 1 month.
